PART I [by Natalia Gabuaeva]

Shh.. Shh.. Shh..

Sleep my little baby. Shh… shh… shh…

Have many, many wonderful dreams. Tomorrow when you wake up you will be 35. You will live in a big stone house with a river on one side and a forest on the other. You’ll live there with your beautiful wife and two adorable children, a boy and a girl. You will have two dogs and a cat. And probably a horse. Two horses! Every morning you will go for a walk in the forest. You’ll never get lost because your furry friends will help you to find the way home. Then you will sit in your car and go to work. You’ll be wearing a suit and tie and make serious faces and deliver long speeches. When you come home after work your children will pounce on you, they’ll be so happy to see you. You will take all your family on a horseback ride along the river. And maybe you can cross the bridge to visit your mommy and daddy – “Granny” and “Grandpa.” We will live just across the river from you, near a pond with weeping willows, and swings that fly so so so so high. And we will play, listen to music, sing, dance, and all have fun together. Later we will sit by the fireplace with hot chocolate and talk and talk… Your kids will get tired and you will have to leave. You will go back home and tuck them into bed, kiss them goodnight and sing a lullaby. Once they’re asleep you will go to bed too. And you will sleep like a baby and have many, many sweet dreams. And when you wake up, your children will be 35 years old. And they will come visit your big house by a pond with weeping willows. And you all will have fun and play all day. And your mommy and daddy……………….

PART II [by William Nava]

Estimados ciudadanos y ciudadanas.

Pues no, maldito, sátiro demoníaco, ahora me vas a escuchar.
